little thing magazine

A little while ago, I was approached by the features editor of little thing magazine, the lovely Jas Tang.
She was interested in featuring Rosie's Armoire in an upcoming edition of the chinese magazine.
Some of you may have heard of this inspirational lifestyle magazine which is circulated in China, Malaysia and Singapore- and focuses on creative design, fashion and illustration.
I recently received a parcel containing the very issue (21) and was so delighted with the feature....

..............I love the design layout of the article and how the magazine is printed from right to left as opposed to our left to right.

The magazine is jam-packed full of beautifully styled fashion pics.........

vintage inspired crafty ideas, and wonderfully creative illustrations.

This issue also features an article on Emily Chalmers author and owner of the 

cool London shop Caravan.

Now the problem.......getting my hands on every issue!

Hello again

Sorry I've been away for so long!

I've been beavering away at my sewing machine for months and months now, sending out trade orders to some beautiful boutiques and shops around the UK............and much further afield in Australia.


A few weeks ago I sent off a collection of my purses to one of my most favourite shops Anthropologie

all packed up and ready to go...........

I love the Anthropologie stores- and was really excited to hear that they are opening a new store on George Street in Edinburgh in June.

I'm away down to London in the next couple of weeks and am so looking forward to seeing how they have been displayed instore.

Cauliflowers and Roses

We have been having lots of sunshine and showers here over the past couple of weeks, and so I thought I'd share a few photographs of our garden, which is looking particularly lush and lovely at the moment.

One of the most fantastic things about my summer has to be...........

lunch picked fresh from the garden

chard leaves, rocket, broad beans, radish, chives
with some sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, basil leaves and drizzled with olive oil-mmm!

Everything seems to be ripe and ready for picking this week- but with umpteen freshly picked cauli, broccoli, blackcurrants and raspberries, out came the cookery books..........
and a little later-a yummy cauliflower curry, and homemade jam...

............followed by a glass of rose and a book under the pear tree!

Summer holidays

Just been adding a couple of new products to the website..........

...........and dreaming about heading off to one of my favourite places- Antibes, in the South of France.

Have been reading a book called 'La vie en Rose', about a couple who give up their London life and head off to France with dreams of running their own Rose wine bar............and its inspired me to produce a new purse design 'Wish I was there'

.......will have to get back there before too long!
